First AstraZeneca vaccine exports from Thailand to Philippines delayed - govt adviser

MANILA (Reuters) - Delivery to the Philippines of the first batches of a promised 17 million doses of AstraZeneca's coronavirus vaccine made in Thailand has been delayed by several weeks, a Philippine presidential adviser said on Tuesday.

The Thai cabinet approved four economic stimulus schemes today (Tuesday), aimed at easing the cost of living burden of about 51 million Thais and stimulating the COVID-beset economy for the rest of the year.

CAAT updates requirements for domestic flight passengers to Phuket

PHUKET: The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has updated its requirements for people boarding domestic flights to Phuket so that passengers can now present test results proving the passenger is not infected with COVID-19 issued up to seven days before the passenger boards the plane.

Chonburi releases additional beaches order

Chonburi – The Chonburi Public Relations Office today (June 1st) has released an additional order around beaches changing the prior order around a prohibition of vendors. The prior total prohibition on beach vendors has been changed.

Pattaya Immigration officers arrest ten people including Chinese, Indian, and Thai nationals in crackdown on crime involving undocumented migrants

Pattaya – Chonburi Immigration officers working out of Pattaya have arrested ten suspects this afternoon, June 1st, including Chinese, Indian, and Thai nationals in a Chonburi undocumented migrant crime crackdown. The Thai nationals were reportedly arrested for assisting undocumented migrants with illegal criminal activities.

WHO approves Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine, 2nd Chinese-made dose listed

GENEVA, June 1 (Reuters) - The World Health Organization (WHO) has approved a COVID-19 vaccine made by Sinovac Biotech for emergency use listing, the second Chinese-produced shot to get its endorsement, a WHO statement said on Tuesday.

PHUKET: Phuket officials have again repeated that registration is open for foreigners to receive a state-provided COVID-19 vaccination while remaining silent on previous promises that foreigners would be vaccinated in June and that the vaccine to be used will be AstraZeneca only.
