Thai hospitals instructed not to postpone vaccination appointments – DPHM

Hospitals in Thailand have been instructed to keep vaccination appointments, even though they may have received fewer doses of vaccine than expected, especially for people over 60 and those suffering from any of seven non-communicable underlying diseases, Deputy Public Health Minister Satit Pitutacha told Thai PBS during the “Tob Jot” TV programme on Monday night.

Chiang Mai eases restrictions on eateries, malls, convenience stores from Wednesday

Citing the low daily COVID-19 infection rate, of fewer than five cases for the past seven days, the provincial communicable disease committee of Chiang Mai has decided to ease some restrictions, starting Wednesday (June 9th).

U.N. says 100,000 flee fighting in Myanmar border state

(Reuters) -The United Nations said on Tuesday an estimated 100,000 people in Myanmar's Kayah state had been displaced by fighting that included "indiscriminate attacks by security forces" in civilian areas.

DDC: Mixing vaccines only recommended in case of allergy

Thai health authorities on Tuesday stuck to the line that mixing different Covid-19 vaccines for the two shots is only recommended if there is a severe reaction to the first one. The comments follow growing indications that swapping jabs can significantly boost patients’ immune response.

Confusion reigns as Thailand’s 3 million expats wait for their shots

PHUKET: A pedestrian walking across a central reservation on Thepkrasattri Rd in Srisoonthorn yesterday evening (June 8 ) narrowly escaped being mowed down by a car and pickup truck that had mounted the traffic island and slammed into a palm tree.

Most patients infected by Delta variant in Udon Thani recover

Twelve of the 17 people in Thailand’s northeastern province of Udon Thani, who were found to be infected with the Delta, or Indian variant of COVID-19, have fully recovered and returned home, said Mr. Uthen Hakaew, deputy chief of the Udon Thani provincial health office, today (Wednesday).
