Dtac has a Covid vaccination programme, but only customers with Thai ID.

Apparently they started it in May, but I only heard about it today, through Richard Barrow's twitter; as he mentioned, the catch is you have to be Thai. I rang Dtac, hoping the policy might have changed, given the well publicised deficiency of registration with booking facilities available to foreigners. However, no luck..."it's the policy of the Thai government".

No surprise, I suppose. It's #ThaisFirst.

What bemuses me is when I talk to Thai friends/acquaintances, they all feign surprise/or are surprised that foreigners are having such difficulty getting vaccinated. So many have sent me the details of thailandintervac.bomb...

But there is of course no reason why they should be aware of that fiasco, as it's a universal problem in the country for anyone who isn't well-connected, either socially or through their employer.
