Next month will be critical for the Thai health system, because hospitals will be overwhelmed and there won’t be enough beds to accommodate the increasing number of COVID-19 patients. Worse still, only about half of the 15 million doses of vaccines expected for the July will actually arrive, according to the Rural Doctor Society RDS).

Home isolation for asymptomatic COVID-19 patients waiting for hospital beds

File / Beds and items provided to patients in a field hospital set up in the Bangkok Arena indoor multi-purpose sporting venue to accomodate an upsurge in the number of Covid-19 coronavirus cases in the country.

 

Thailand’s Medical Services Department is to issue advisories for asymptomatic COVID-19 patients, on how to take care of themselves while they are waiting for hospital beds during to the current shortage.

Pattaya to pilot Koh Larn tourism reopening

The End Cigarette Smoke Thailand group (ECST) and admins of the “What is an e-cigarette?” Facebook page spoke to the media this week about what they view as incorrect statements made by an anti-smoking activist, who said a new study shows that e-cigarettes contain high levels of nicotine and are just as harmful to health as combustible cigarettes while stating that the government has the right to ban e-cigarettes in order to protect the public’s health and regulate harmful goods.
