Recently I was the victim of of one of my Thai  (bank) credit cards debited a large sum ; my card was still in my possession and somehow the card number was used  overseas. I was charged the sum and after many messages and complaints and stress , the charge was eventually removed from my account after almost a few months.

I needed to get a new credit card etc quite apart from the aggravation this caused me.

Is there any type of insurance I can get to cover myself not only for loss incurred by a lost or stolen card but for loss incurred by mis-use of my credit card number?

If so, can anyone recommend a good company for coverage?

Thank u.

I don't think this is the type of risk that a Thai insurance company would have much appetite for or be able to underwrite profitably, so I doubt very much that anything is on offer. You might wish to ask an insurance broker about this, but I really doubt that anything is available.
