MANILA, Philippines — A total of 434 legal, medical and information technology professionals are set to fill vacancies in the Philippine National Police (PNP), the National Police Commission (Napolcom) announced yesterday.

 

The Napolcom said 163 medical officers would be assigned to the Health Service, 100 to Legal Service, 20 medico-legal officers to the PNP Crime Laboratory, 100 IT officers to Information Technology Management Service and 51 IT officers to the Anti-Cybercrime Group.

 

The Napolcom has approved Resolution 2021-0612 authorizing PNP chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar to recruit doctors, lawyers and IT experts for lateral entry to the police service, with the ranks of captain and lieutenant.
