Visa Extension In the case of litigation or court proceedings

Featured Replies

Dear all,

Does anyone have the experiences of getting visa extension based on litigation or court proceedings?

According to the information on Immigration website (26):

In the case of litigation or court proceedings

Requirements:

There must be evidence confirming that the applicant is involved in a litigation or court proceedings as accuser, injured person, accused, plaintiff, defendant, or witness.

Documents to submit:

1. Application form
2. Copy of applicant’s passport
3. Confirmation letter from an inquiry official involved with the case, official paper or document

Wondering about possibility to get this visa ext. in case of proceeding labor issue to the court? Also how many days can be granted upon this type of extension?

Appreciate any information.

Each extension will be issued for a maximum of 90 days. If there is a dispute with an employer, and you are being supported by the Labour Department, you should be able to get the department's help in acquiring the necessary documentation to ask for the extension. (If the Labour Department is not on your side, forget it.)
