Apparently, according to what I have read the government are only cutting water bills in 10 provinces. Presumably the logic being those people have to stay at home so consume more electric.

Just wondering what the kids in CM do when they are ordered to stay home in CM in July? Do they not use the Aircon? Just a thought based on the usual Thai logic of the powers that be....????

Our bill this month for water was reduced, minus 10 baht!

Yes the kind reduction was based on April's bill (the hottest month when consumption is at it's peak).  The new above measure for 10 provinces is based on February's bill though so that should see significant reductions.

CM isn't liked by the Govt as we know.......by it's attitude to towards many things including pollution (burning).

It is 5 O'Clock somewhere........and with the new reduction for water bills we can afford that bottled water to make ice cubes for our sipping whiskey....

And ergo why friendships last a lifetime, as long as that life may be.  We do all have our moments as our lives and issues weigh on us, but most of us endure and live to fight another day......like with my water bill and electric reduction.....lets see what occurs, I could either become ecstatic or infuriated, but at the end of the day it is what it is, and I only cry over spilled whiskey, however the neighbors Malinois never lets it go to waste...

Please do, I can barely by a small pack of Khaoneow now with my chicken leg from the corner vendor, of course I do get free water by holding up my cup in the rain, it also gets full of minerals from the PM 2.5 as the rain falls through the air here in BKK.

My daughter is eating that right now, only 15 baht. She won't share it with me.

Meanwhile countless renters are being illegally  charged electricity rates of 12 baht per unit or more and the govt does nothing.  I know a gal who pays more for electric in a single than she does for the unit.

Who knows then, if your just renting then maybe the owner is getting the lowered bill as it might be in his or her name, or if you own and its on the GF/Wifes property the service may be in her parents name, just a wild guess on my part, but a thought.  My bill for my condo ranges between 188 and 220 baht every month, and that's obviously dependent on washing laundry, no discount given on that bill yet as the Juristic office bills the water,  MEA does give a discount based upon the rates that they did a snap shot off back when they froze the billing to give discounts.  Still my MEA bill is up.....

Renting......I wonder if they never put in any metering, so a bit like the management charges we all pay the same regardless of usage???

That would make sense, just like a large condo.  Juristic gets one bill and divides it by the number of units, the bigger units are charged accordingly, broken down by a billing by SqM...
