New passport (Phuket)

Received new Canadian passport in bkk. Also have old one. I informed school who told me to go to immigration with embassy letter. I received no letter.  I thought embassy would've provided all documentation necessary. Don't want to go in unprepared and trigger any alarms.

If I recall correctly I think Canada is one of the countries that does a stamp in either your old or new passport stating you got a new passport. Look in them to confirm.

The stamp will be accepted by immigration instead of the letter.

Just back from immigration.  Officer asked for letter, but I referred him to stamp in old pp.  10 minutes later, new pp updated.
