1   I am not complaining

2   I have done that

3   Nothing so far

4   It depends on where the hospital is.

I live in rural Kamphaeng Phet about 350 km from Bangkok. If I have to drive to BKK, a deep red zone, it will be a 700 km round trip and probably an overnight stay in a deep red zone.

I consider that whining having to drive 3 hours each way to reduce your risk 94-97% and not having to worry about hospitalization and death. The next day you will have forgotten the 200 mile trip. Of course you can stay home, worry and whine,

Go and check with whoever again. I was told today AZ is now 8 weeks between shots. Very reliable source which I am not allowed to disclose, think who stands behind a pharmacy counter. This is Chon Buri province where the rollout is being organised by pharmacists, but should be the same everywhere? Being Thailand sometimes you need to ask.

Cheers

I have checked in person twice at the hospital. They know me there and i am a registered patient there. They said a definite 'no' to an earlier reschedule and would only confirm my original appt (28th Sept). The 30th August will be 12 weeks since my 1st dose AZ. I'm going to turn up and try again then. It should be the same everywhere but it's just not.

No idea. You'll need to follow the link and ask Richard Barrow.

was only curious , as they referred Pfizer better for the older ones ....., shall see if it happens ...., but that could be a reason for the AZ. given

And if it is in BKK, a very dark red area that is OK for you?

BTW it is a 350km or more trip each way, 700 to 800 km total, depending where the hospital is and what time the appointment is. Figure on around 12 to 14 hours, which is a lot for a 77 year old man to do.

I'm not sure but I thought it was AZ for the over 60's and Pfizer for the younger ones.

well not so much good luck.  went to get shot and was informed that I would receive sinovac.  Decided to wait and keep trying to be safe.  Data not forthcoming from China about how their jabs do against Delta.

I think the Pziser promise is a sprat to catch a mackerel

But the State is trying to deter people from making such journeys, inter-provincial buses have been stopped and hints that road blocks will be checking people on the roads.....

The State should have one policy or the other, ie  also vaccinate in areas outside of Bangkok or facilitate people getting there.

I am sure that is the plan after the areas most affected are jabbed. It is the fact that there is such limited supplies of vaccines this deep into the pandemic that is inexcusable and the cause of needless deaths.

Hallelujar! The god's have moved in mysterious ways and my 2nd AZ dose appt. has been rescheduled to 30th August 2021 (12 weeks interval). Informed on Mor Phrom app. Unlike the first priority group of medics etc. (Booster) I have no option of a choice between AZ or Pfizer. The mix of the 1st AZ then 2nd Pfizer, in that order, has shown production of the important T-cells and antibodies to increase 6-fold over the double doses of AZ.

"Beggars can't be choosers" I guess. Seems odd that I wouldn't qualify for 1 of the 150,000 doses of Pfizer 'Ear-marked' for foreigners in vulnerable groups. Still, not complaining and thankful that finally I'm being treated as per Thailands stated policy.

1- Stop complaining

2- Apply @ [email protected]

3- Get confirmation 7-10 days

4- Go get shot

What part is too difficult or hard to understand

Number 3 and Number 4.  By the way I have not started Number 0ne yet.  Been to get the jab twice but only China offered.  I am 82 and not taking China shot.

Agreed, China <deleted> and doing Urine Therapy is a toss up.
