Thailand's Royal Navy swung into action on Sunday night after they received a report that a fisherman aboard a trawler 28 kilometers off cape Talum Phuk in Nakhon Sri Thammarat had fallen into the sea.

The vessel P. Phichai Chumphon 2 reported the man overboard at 9 pm and despite their search and help from vessels in the area the man could not be located.

Navy staff from a Songkhla base aboard vessel T. 991 found the man at 7.40 am some 25 kilometers east of the cape, reported Daily News

He was completely exhausted, given first aid then tested for Covid, which came back negative.

He was then taken to hospital to continue his recovery.
