Daily News reported on the investigation into the death of a 28 year old woman from Phatthalung in the far south of Thailand.

Jiraporn Petcharat was found tied up in a bedsheet by a klong in Nanote sub-district. She had been abducted and shot.

The suspects are married couple - Sunan Jitphakdee, 31, and his wife Yuwares, 26.

They are believed to have murdered the lady because she was unable to pay back 60,000 baht she had borrowed.

The couple are believed to have fled to a neighboring country to stay with people they know.

Yesterday police armed with a search warrant went to collect evidence including DNA samples from their house in Khao Chaison district.

Warrants for murder have been issued by the local court.

Meanwhile the media spoke to the mother of the victim Preeda Petcharat, 62, who was in tears at the last day of funeral rites for her daughter.

She called for police to make a swift arrest and spoke of her deep anguish demanding that punishment fit the crime.

That was a very smart couple. Now they will really get their money back. At the same time they can not return to Thailand again. Good job!

It really is depressing to know what kind of people are out there and that we have to share the planet with.

RIP  Jiraporn.

Don't know what kind of person you were but you did not deserve to be murdered over 60,000 baht.

If people don't pay back their debts their might be a lot of hate that leads to such actions. From the logical point of view it does not make sense because now it is even more unlikely that they will get back the money.

Doubt it was her  only debt, those seeking money often  borrow  from anyone stupid  enough to lend it.

Oh, they'll be back in Thailand, extradition between local countries is pretty easy.

They will be in prison before you know it.

Lots of stupid around, and some tapped out on keyboards.

I'm assuming they've fled recently across the border to Malaysia. Says a lot about border security in covid times.
