I don't see anyone disparaging the efforts of the healthcare community. The post to which you reacted seems to have been taking exception to the govt, which failed to get sufficient vaccines in a timely manner, and thus cannot supply those performing the 'vaccination efforts' with enough medicine.

 

Do the math on what's on hand and what is coming when. A shortage develops next month, unless some the PM can play Jesus with the loaves of bread and fish. Nobody is going to blame healthcare workers for the govt's failures.

 

As for not appreciating healthcare workers, articles have appeared in various Thai media reporting that healthcare workers showing up for the donated Pfizer jabs were told they would get AZ instead. Who got the Pfizer? Seems the govt doesn't respect the efforts and risk being faced in the healthcare community.

If a tiny fraction of the top 1% of Thailand's wealth owners had been deployed in an organised and proactive way then Thailand would have been pretty much doubled jabbed months ago.

As usual, Thailand thought they would be able to negotiate bargain basement prices when their was a global glut of vaccines.

Can you show me one post or please quote anyone of us that has said we did not appreciate the work and efforts the hospitals, nurses, volunteers or even the doctors are doing?  Your off tangent comment about "Sad indictment of society today and the type of people who frequent these forums nowadays that they want to laugh at people who mock them" is unwarranted.  Daily many of us post on here about what is being done in regards to Covid activities.  Reality is what it is, Yes people are being vaccinated, happy for that and never have I said different.  Have I disagreed with your view, sure I have, have you disagreed with mine, of course.  Do we agree to disagree, yes we do.  The situation in regards to the daily deaths and Covid cases is fluid, where you have reduced PCR testing and falling numbers then we can extrapolate why the numbers are going down especially when the numbers of positive ATK rapid tests is increasing.  Nothing but the truth and reality in my view.  If I am wrong I always admit it and apologize.  I am hopeful that we will eventually see the numbers truly dropping, I however just do not see that the time is now as there are too many variables which say otherwise.  As always Stay safe

I think that's really disingenuous saying that we don't appreciate the efforts of the nurses and volunteers. We do appreciate the efforts they make, and also the risks they take trying to protect the country from Covid.  

 

What we're actually commenting on is the less-than-stellar job of getting vaccinations to the people by the government.  Yes, right now a lot of people are getting vaccinated, but the rollout was far from exemplary.  A day late and a Baht short.  Would you agree that less than 9% of the population fully vaccinated at this point doesn't merit praise?  And the fact that a good portion of that group is double vaccinated with Sinovac makes it even less so, correct?  And the whole procurement process, and the decision to not join Covax has added to thie problem.   I personally don't believe it had to be like this.  

 

Please don't paint us like that.  It's not about the nurses or doctors.

So 15,014 + from "walk-in" tests. How many in total walked in for a test. Meaning how many negatives.

 

Do people need a negative test for work or...? Why go for a test unless you feel poorly.

 

Of the tests in clusters how many test were performed to obtain the 2,470.

 

Finally how many random tests were carried out. I do not mean know problem areas, rather tests in the general population.

 

Edit: can I add re your other post. Do pregnant women seem to have disproportionate representation in deaths.

The only person who can be accused of not appreciating the work of the nurses is Anutin last year when he blamed them for getting infected with covid while working.That was probably one of his lowest moments and there are many.

I'm not sure. There are other posters with better knowledge about this. I remember hearing somewhere in the high 80% for the best ones. I think I would be safe in saying the Chinese ones aren't the best. Don't forget it's not just false positives but also false negatives.
