Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha was singled out for fierce attacks by opposition Pheu Thai MPs, over his alleged failures in the management of the COVID-19 pandemic, on the first day of the censure debate in parliament this morning (Tuesday).

Bangkok’s easing of lockdown restrictions, explained

PHUKET: Domestic tourists will be allowed to enter Phuket on holiday from next Wednesday (Sept 8 ) providing they satisfy certain criteria, including showing proof of hotel or accommodation reservation paid in advance and they must be tested for COVID-19 on Day 5 of their stay if they are staying more than seven days.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand on Wednesday will start collecting value added tax (VAT) from foreign technology companies and expects to raise at least 5 billion baht ($154.70 million) in additional revenue each year, a senior official said.
