snoop1130
Over 1,000 cats have been stranded on Phi Phi Island in Krabi Province of Thailand, left behind by their owners after COVID-19 that killed the country’s tourism. The cat owners who were working people or entrepreneurs left the islands since the pandemic started, thinking it would be temporary. The situation, however, had never really improved. Only some came back and retrieved their feline friends after it was clear tourists were not returning to the resort islands any time soon, according to Suda Klinchuen, a volunteer. IraqRon
really now, are stranded cats all that important in the grand scheme of things?? Cats can swim you know. Perhaps they, the cats, will clean the island of rodents, monkeys, etc. As a final resort the PM can organize a rescue operation like that in Kabul, flying them to various countries in need.

Popular Post tonray
Let me guess...the local authorities have not considered a spay/neutering program so the problem doesn't become even worse ? At 6 months a cat can get pregnant and can produce litters every 6 months after that for at least 7 years. The problem is going to get worse.

They made some effort it seems: "The authorities have tried to control the population through mass sterilisation, but to no avail" (original article).
