BANGKOK (TNA) – The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) is likely to switch to the imposition of the Communicable Diseases Act in place of the Executive Decree on Public Administration in Emergency Situations to handle the COVID-19 situation in the country and thus it will automatically cease to exist.

Government Spokesman: Number of recovered COVID-19 cases rises

BANGKOK (NNT) - Government Spokesman, Dr. Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, says the number of recovered COVID-19 patients in Thailand is increasing continuously, from 17,000 to 20,000 per day, and he has conveyed a message of condolence from Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, to those whose family members died of COVID-19.

Phuket Sandbox earns 1.6bn baht in tourism revenue

PHUKET (NNT) - The quarantine-free Phuket Sandbox program for vaccinated travelers has generated 1.6 billion baht in revenue from some 28,000 international visitors since launching on July1st. The province is now proactively seeking new local cases of COVID-19, to ensure they receive treatment as quickly as possible.

Massive search underway for missing child in Thailand’s Chiang Mai

A massive search was launched today, involving dozens of local police, border patrol police, rescue volunteers and villagers, for a girl aged one year and eleven months who has been missing from her home, in Intakin sub-district of Mae Taeng district in Thailand’s northern province of Chiang Mai, since Sunday night.

CSD extends detention of torture case cops as investigations continue

142,000 children infected with Covid since January - 369 are orphans

Suphatcha Sutthiphol of the Department of Children and Youth said that CCSA data showed that 142,870 Thai children had contracted Covid-19 in the period from January 1st to 4th September 2021.

Visa scams: Aussie embassy says no Agri-visa exists yet after several embassies unite to combat fraud

Data of Thailand’s 16 million COVID patients leaked online after hack

Sanook reported that a website called Nong P3 had reported a post allegedly from the Dark Web claiming to want to sell data after a hack of Thailand's Ministry of Public Health database.

Number of Covid-19 infections in Thailand starts to decline, 70-80 percent are asymptomatic, says Public Health Ministry

The Ministry of Public Health today, September 7th, revealed the latest hospital bed availability for Covid-19 patients in that the overall situation is improving as 70-80 percent of current patients are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms.
