Jonathan Fairfield
People receive China's Sinovac coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccine at the Central Vaccination Center, inside the Bang Sue Grand Station, in Bangkok, Thailand, May 24, 2021. REUTERS Thailand on Sunday (Sept 12) reported 14,029 new COVID-19 cases and 180 more fatalities, according to data released by the Ministry of Public Health. The new cases have brought the country's total number of infections to top 1.38 million, while that of fatalities has risen to 14,353 since the pandemic began. Sunday also saw 15,742 recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1.23 million. As of Friday, the government had administered 39.63 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines, with more than 17 percent of the whole population having been fully vaccinated. Meanwhile, the government said it aims to administer 24 million vaccine doses in October. According to the CCSA, Thailand will be receiving a total of 71 million COVID-19 vaccine doses from various manufacturers, with 24 million to arrive in October consisting of 10 million doses from AstraZeneca, 8 million doses from Pfizer, and 6 million doses from Sinovac. In November, 23 million more doses are expected to be delivered, namely 13 million doses from AstraZeneca and 10 million doses from Pfizer; followed by another 24 million doses in December, with 14 million doses from AstraZeneca and 10 million doses from Pfizer. The general public aged from 18 years will continue to receive either the Sinovac-AstraZeneca mix and match regimen, or two doses of AstraZeneca, or the new AstraZeneca-Pfizer regimen. The CCSA expects 16.8 million doses of vaccine will be used by this group. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2021-09-12 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

Popular Post ThailandRyan
Good to see the numbers dropping as they are, especially those on ventilators. Lets hope we have started to see the downside of this wave, however i will reserve any more comments until the end of this week and see where we stand. I truly do not understand the flatline other than it possibly being caused by a lack of true testing and the use of the ATK home tests. Icon Siam yesterday was full of folks, parking structure was full to the top at 1 pm when we went and the restaurants were also busy. Pent up demand for shopping and escaping being stuck inside the last month was very evident. 3 3

Popular Post Danderman123
For those not paying attention, the purpose of a lockdown, or heavy restrictions, is to keep infection numbers low, while vaccinations are in process. A lockdown is usually not intended to eradicate the virus, just slow it down. So, it seems that the government approach to slowing the virus has had some success, in this context, whereas no restrictions would have led to many more deaths. ikke1959
Yes sure.... only 13.800 about in the general people tested are positive in Covid.. With 18 days to go before the 1st of October the numbers will be lower day by day and the recoveries will go up and up.. On the first October only maybe 1000 - 1500 cases a day and open the country......Which numbers can be trusted anyway..... If you check on Covidvax Thailand even there are the numbers not correct .They claim 26.975.000 people vaccinated and 12.040.000 fully vaccinated.. and the total is 39.625.000. But when I calculate there are 600.000 less 12 mill and 26,9 mill is 38,9 million and who are the lost 600.000??? 1

Thats the problem with using unofficial trackers but here's another that is far more accurate, developed, coded and data extracted by a local Thai, it gets its data directly from source and he even has a filtered section for the top Provinces vaccination levels, it also includes the important 3 doses and separates the them out unlike the other one. https://covidtracker-th.netlify.app/ 2
