Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) consular office in SM Manila closed as staff contract coronavirus

MANILA – The operations of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) consular office in SM Manila have been suspended for two days after seven of its personnel contracted the coronavirus and several others identified as close contacts.

 

In a news release issued Sunday, the DFA advised the public that its consular office is closed from Sept. 20-21 to carry out disinfection within the premises.

Passport applicants for this period will receive an email providing them the details of their alternative appointment.

The department has advised applicants to refer only to the agency's official platforms for announcements and updates. (PR)
