Thai Health Ministry Confirms Safety of Pfizer Vaccine in Children

BANGKOK (NNT) - Thailand’s Public Health Ministry insists that Pfizer vaccine is safe for children aged 12-17, after parents voiced concerns over a rare side effect.

 

Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said studies have found that the Pfizer vaccine is safe for use in children and vaccination of children in Thailand, with parental consent, is a must before schools reopen next month.

 

Meanwhile, Pfizer and German biotechnology firm BioNTech SE have released results from the Phase 2/3 trials indicating a favorable safety profile and robust neutralizing antibody responses in children aged 5 to 11, using a two-dose regimen of 10g (microgram) administered 21 days apart. This dose is smaller than the 30g used for children over 12.

 

The COVID-19 vaccine was well tolerated, with side effects generally comparable to those observed in participants aged 16 to 25. Pfizer and BioNTech plan to share this data with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), European Medicines Agency (EMA) and other regulators as soon as possible.

was the side effect not 1 boy out of 15.000 has a change to have an infection on the heart ???To me it seems not a rare side effect but a bigger than Astra bloodcloths

We got an 'offer' to vaccinate our 10 year old daughter with Sinofarm in a pilot program called "VACC 2 Shool Project" - for free! How could anyone resist such a wonderfull oppertunity?? ????

We don't know the long term side effects of any of these vaccines yet. 
 

Sorta mind boggling. How can something be deemed safe if the research simply has not been done yet? 
 

It’s funny because most people insist on having insurance for everything, just in case of that 0.01% chance of disaster. I guess they don’t think that way when it comes to experimental vaccines. Hmm, I wonder why.

How many months lasted those "trials" ?

 

It's probably safe now. But in 5 years ? In 10 years ? Especially with young children who are still growing up ?

 

The truth is as burning as the collective hallucination that is forced upon us : WE DO NOT KNOW.

 

mRNA products are new. They have never been used on such large scale in such short period of time. And we do not know what are their long term effects.

 

Anyone, especially commercial companies, who says "I know " is a liar or a lunatic.

Infection? Did you mean inflammation (myocarditis)? It's quite rare and generally temporary and treatable. Covid of course also causes myocarditis in children and is much more likely to do so.

With the delta variant it's no longer a question of if, but rather when, a covid exposure will happen to each person. The vaccinated people are much better prepared for that inevitable event.

No vaccine ever has had latent side effects. Not one. Vaccines don't remain in the body. It's not like medication, which can have a long half-life and is taken over a long period of time.

 

mRNA vaccine is not a new idea. It's been 30 years. The difficulty has been actually keeping it stable enough to have time to do its job.

These vaccines use mRNA to create a non-infectious protein that the body sees as an invader. The immune system responds and kills off the "invader".

The vaccine itself breaks down in a day or two. The body clears the invaders in a week or two. After that it's gone.

 

That's it. Job's done. There is nothing remaining so there can be no long-term side effects.

Covid, on the other hand, is capable of producing obvious and terrible long-term side effects. Scarred lungs leaving you oxygen-deprived for the rest of your life, for example.

 

Get vaccinated and be part of the answer instead of part of the problem.
