Heavily-flooded hospital in Chaiyaphum temporarily closed after all patients evacuated

As it closed until further notice, all the remaining patients in the heavily-flooded Bamnetnarong Hospital, in Thailand’s north-eastern province of Chaiyaphum, were evacuated to a nearby hospital this afternoon.

Flood walls being built to protect archaeological sites in Ayutthaya province

Workers have been racing against time to build flood walls to protect several archaeological sites, located along the banks of the Chao Phraya and Lop Buri rivers in the central province of Ayutthaya, from flooding.

Thai Provinces below Chao Phraya Dam Are Warned of Overflows and Floods

BANGKOK (NNT) - Thailand’s Royal Irrigation Department has announced that the Chao Phraya Dam will increase the discharge rate, to prepare for more water flowing from the North and Northeast regions as a result of a monsoon trough and the tropical depression "Dianmu", which has downgraded into an active low-pressure cell over Khon Kaen province.

PM visits Sukhothai to gauge flood situation

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Prime Minister has visited Sukhothai province to seek a long-term solution to floods in the area, as citizens in many districts of Sukhothai are affected by floods whenever there is a long period of rainfall. Aside from Sukhothai, other provinces in the lower northern region also have a similar problem with recurring regional flooding.

Bangkok prepares for floods as more rain is likely

Chula VRC touts development of mRNA technology
