Heavily-flooded hospital in Chaiyaphum temporarily closed after all patients evacuated

As it closed until further notice, all the remaining patients in the heavily-flooded Bamnetnarong Hospital, in Thailand’s north-eastern province of Chaiyaphum, were evacuated to a nearby hospital this afternoon.

Thai Provinces below Chao Phraya Dam Are Warned of Overflows and Floods

BANGKOK (NNT) - Thailand’s Royal Irrigation Department has announced that the Chao Phraya Dam will increase the discharge rate, to prepare for more water flowing from the North and Northeast regions as a result of a monsoon trough and the tropical depression "Dianmu", which has downgraded into an active low-pressure cell over Khon Kaen province.

PM visits Sukhothai to gauge flood situation

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Prime Minister has visited Sukhothai province to seek a long-term solution to floods in the area, as citizens in many districts of Sukhothai are affected by floods whenever there is a long period of rainfall. Aside from Sukhothai, other provinces in the lower northern region also have a similar problem with recurring regional flooding.
