Supreme Court Blocks Ex-Police Gen Surachate's Bid to Overturn Dismissal
Former Deputy National Police Chief Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn could be charged with lese-majeste. The complaint was filed by Pol Col Kritsanapong Kanchaiyakit based on an incident at J A Plus Hotel in Pattaya on May 22. According to previous news reports, Pol Gen Surachate was at the hotel that day to launch a campaign gathering 20,000 signatures to submit a petition for investigating a member of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, Suchart Trakulkasemsuk, for allegedly displaying impartiality, which constitutes severe ethical misconduct.
