i am landing in bkk from CAMBODIA, then a few hours later catching another airline to aussy, it's not possible to check in luggage all the way from my point of departure in cambodia to aussy. Are there facilities in the transit area to firstly collect my luggage ,then check in both myself and luggage-bypassing customs immigration, or do i have to go to the main check in area.Plus is there a secure storage area in transit for luggage for a few hours so i dont have to carry and guard 50kgs of expensive film gear.

As a matter of interest what is the exact order for transit, immigration, customs, is it that order, or immigration then transit and customs. cheers for any help

I don't see why you cannot check-in all the way to OZ from Cambodia but if indeed it is not possible, you must clear immigration, pick-up your bags, go through customs and check-in again in Bangkok (in that order)
