On Tuesday, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha passed on donations of over 20 million Baht, raised through public and Cabinet funding for local COVID-19 vaccine development programmes.

 

Two local programmes have been granted funding. One is an initiative of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, which was given 15.05 million Baht. The other was of Chulalongkorn University and the National Vaccine Institute, granted 5.05 million Baht.

 

According to Government Spokesman Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, Gen. Prayut also discussed the progress on vaccine development with both agencies and stressed the need to expedite their work to achieve the vaccine development goals, which is a government policy.

waiting on vaccine donations for free from Japan, already in?

And what about Siam biotech then? Or they only produce and dont use vaccine in own country?

O they get billions?
