Analysis: PPRP will lose no matter the outcome of Thursday’s meeting

The Palang Pracharath Party executive committee is set to meet on Thursday to decide the fate of Thammanat Prompao and whether or not to remove him from his position as party Secretary General.

 

It isn’t a surprising move considering that Thammanat was one of the key figures behind an attempt in September to remove Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha via a no-confidence motion.

 

What is surprising is that it has taken this long to reshuffle the party and perhaps points to a more divided PPRP than outsiders are aware of.

The entire party needs to be exorcised from the national political scene, and pushed into the realm of very, very tragic memories. They are the worst thing to happen to Thailand in a very long time. 

 

By comparison, Thaksin looks like a morally righteous saint, when put beside Cha Cha and his band of thieves. Thaksin actually got stuff done.

Maybe next time there is a no-confidence motion, you'll be able to coach them on what it takes to really get it done.

Really does not matter how unpopular and divided they are if their little lap dogs at the various 'independent' agencies dissolve all the opposition parties.

Sadly Thai Citizens have been down trodden for so long that they have become apathetic and do not have the courage to change things.  Very sad for Thailand, which is dropping down both politically and almost every other sector of life from IT, GDP, development, et al, all down to the cabal of Generals, who do not appear to have the ability or capacity to rule a Country for the benefit of the Citizens.

In fairness, the Generals are mere surface puppets serving the cabal.
