Popular Post snoop1130
BANGKOK (NNT) - The new travel document submission system known as “Thailand Pass” now being rolled out is helping to better facilitate international arrivals. This online-based system will be replacing the Certificate of Entry from next week. Mr. Anucha Nakasai, the Minister attached to the Office of the Prime Minister, today inspected the processing of international arrivals at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Introduced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to better and quicker process international visitors, Thailand Pass replaces the Certificate of Entry visitors were required to apply at a Thai Embassy or consulate in their country of origin. The new online-based system allows visitors to upload their required documents with step-by-step explanations to obtain their QR-code equipped pass, which they need to present when entering Thailand. Mr. Anucha said this new system comes with safeguard measures including data encryption to protect personal information, in accordance with international standards. He said some issues have been noticed at the early stage of the rollout, but they have already been addressed. So far, around 10,000 Thailand Pass applications have been submitted, with the entry pass having already been issued for some 4,000 travelers. Travelers with a valid Certificate of Entry will be able to enter the kingdom during this period. However, the Thailand Pass system will entirely replace the Certificate of Entry in the next 7 days. Applicable to both Thai and foreign nationals, Thailand Pass is a document required for all international air arrivals. -- © Copyright NNT 2021-11-02 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 1 3

The fact that applicants have been trying to adjust their own documents by editing to suit the pass requirements as well have trying to find a fix around passport number entry speaks volumes in my opinion. Hopefully the failure of this mess will make them think again about all this tripe and come up with something sensible. 18

Popular Post Oblomov
I suppose these things can work and be finessed considering the numbers arriving but if volumes did for some reason ramp up, surely all of this stuff would turn chaotic - at some point we're all going to have to accept that vaccinated and tested travellers are amongst the most scrutinised amongst us, then streamline the whole procedure. I'm no IT expert but surely an app developed to be used globally over all borders with unique QR codes for each traveller would work - It's not as if apps are new technology and there has been months in which these things could have been developed. 5

Slightly facetious, Mr Coleman? ???? I believe it's expected to have all the obvious snafus resolved. Yet, it will be later than sooner.......in the very Thai convoluted and deluded bureaucratic fashion. I wouldn't expect any such decent amendments or modifications to be rectified before the year is out. January sounds about right. 2

Thailand just went the wrong way on this reopening. There are few countries in the world that can quickly develop a online app to handle entry & Thailand is not one of them 10k applied...4k issued??? Think that is good? What will happen if any real traffic starts?? (Not too worry real traffic will not come while all these hoops exist) Look at their history of online apps....90 day check in online...Look at the Chiang Mai Que system for visa extension appointments....all blew up Not to mention data breach etc etc Thailand either open or don't....Look at other countries like USA or some parts of Europe see how it is basically back to what it was before C19? If your feeling sheepish then forget it & the income it provides If you want to reopen.... REOPEN But please don't half a$$ it 14

Well, as people are starting photoshopping official document we are going to be in a deep mess. For one , it is illegal to tamper with these Covid Passes, secondly once they realise that not one country in Europe issues these certificates without any mention of a passport number , will they slam the applicant with an interdiction to visit the Kingdom ? The offenders might even get reported to their respective governments ( although not likely : ) ) 1 1
alyx
I might add that it is still impossible to upload the Janssen certificate and go to the next page as they insist on the (inexistent) second dose details to be filled in Bloody annoying

Right. In the U.S. it is a federal crime to alter a vaccine document. My pre-flight PCR test probably won't have my passport number on it, either. But, I will provide the certificate of such along with me standing there holding my passport at the check-in. That should suffice. Same with the vaccine certificate.

Popular Post richard_smith237
I see 16 feckless halfwits who have no idea whatsoever of how to instigate, set up, beta test any such program - yet here they are taking credit for something which is clearly an absolute and utter clusterflook.... Are these people really so arrogant that they can happily take credit when they surely know of ALL the failures in the system so far. Its utterly embarrassing for all of my Thai friends to even be associated with this mess even if only by nationality. 6 2

Popular Post funky moped
i was acctually on the phone in the uk yesterday to the 119 number to try to get a copy of my vaccine certificate with my NHS number or Passport number on it , they dont do it, they are sending a copy to me but according to the girl on the helpline it shows neither PP number or NHS number, i had no problems using the thailand pass web site using the Brave browser, chrome and firefox both had issues, took about 8 minuets to complete using Brave , make sure your docs are JPEG, put all the info you are going to need in a word document and copy and paste straight into the website. you need pp number, hotel booking confirmation number, hotel address, insurance policy number, vaccine dates, flight number, home address and phone number , get it all set out before you start and it will take 5 or 6 minuets to fill out, The main problem as of last night there is no confirmation email to say they have recieved the application, 3 2 1
