BANGKOK (NNT) - Thai fruits have always been among the favorites of international customers across the global market. The Department of International Trade Promotion is to further promote Thai fruits through a series of events, hoping to generate 2.3 billion baht from fruit exports next year.

The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) Director-General Phusit Rattanakul said the department has completed the planning for promotional campaigns for Thai fruits in the global market, with a total of 63 events planned for next year.

This series of events will be comprised of promotional sales in foreign markets, business matching for online fruit trade, hybrid promotional activities for Thai fruit at international trade expos, the production of multilingual promotional media, training for farmers on basic e-commerce and goods export knowledge, and the setting up of sales teams for local fruit products.

With these events planned, the DITP has set a 2.37 billion baht national revenue target from fruit exports next year.

Persons interested in learning more about the activities can visit www.ditp.go.th, or call the 1169 hotline for more information.
