Chiang Mai post office headquarters

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where the Chiang Mai post office headquarters is situated?

I need to send an express parcel abroad so I don't want a delay transferring the parcel from a small branch to the headquarters before boarding the plane.

I would bring the parcel to the Airport Post Office (GoogleMaps is your friend).

All post leaves the respective post offices and goes by truck to the Lamphun sorting center. They don't put it on an airplane in C.M. so it doesn't matter if you go to the Airport P.O. Everything goes by truck to Lamphun and then to Suvarnabhmi.

The "headquarter" is the one near the train station.

But the previous poster is correct in how they handle parcels, so it shouldn't make a difference which post office you use (as long you drop it off at a "real" post office, not at a small franchise store)

memory says 7 to10 days for a normal letter Thailand to UP.

I had an urgent letter to send to UK which took some time.

I sent a second letter and asking at Post Office was told up to a month now due to regulations concerned with Covid.

EMS (Express mail as you refer to it) is now taking up to 40 days to get delivered in some countries.
