The electric Mini they manufactured has Union Jack tail lights.

AND between the two rear lights they even have the flag the right way, when looking from left to right, with the broad bands in the correct place.

That is so super cool.  399003865_FlagWaving.gif.2347dfcd9fe8efc69cc1e7c16d9b1b86.gif

Yes but:-

However, the Mini, Clubman and Cabrio models are all made in Britain at their Oxford, Swindon and Hams Hall factories.

Still British made

What percentage of the parts are "British made"  ?

You can ask that question just about anything these days of global trade.

So lets say assembled in Britain.

Nice spot that you pick up on the tail lights being correct with regards to the union flag.

It is only a Union Jack when flown from the Jack staff of her majesty's royal navy ship ????????????

Sorry for being so anal, but you started it ????

Yes, a German BMW assembled in the UK, that they call a Mini/Mini Cooper, via buying Rover Group and then selling the MG mark to China..........????

You are quite correct sir, I was using the "Union Jack" name for general simplicity for those of us not too familiar with flag protocol.

A "Union" flag could be from any number of union countries but the "Union Jack" that everyone knows only refers to the UK.

Be assured I have no problem at all with you being so anal  :whistling:  :cheesy:

Yes, yes, you are both correct. I shall now stand in the corner and write 100 lines "I will not mention the word "Union Jack" ever again in this lifetime" :guitar:

100 lines?........What kind of soft, namely-pamby teachers did you have?
