The 90%+ of policy holders whose claims are settled would stand up for them.  Those who brand insurance companies, in general, as "thieves" without providing anything empirical to back their doubtful claims have no credibility whatsoever.

been robbed by these companies who hide stuff in their small print more than once  thats my credibility..thanks but as i said you probably have a vested interest  good day to you sir..

How many insurers have robbed you and how many times, under what circumstances?   If you can back it up, you'll have credibility, if you can't, well....

By the way, "small print" does not exist these days, policy conditions do, though, and they have to be read!

yes set in a way that a normal person with no knowledge of law or how insurance companies work..and small print is a term used by many people in these instances.. doesn't necessarily mean reduced text size sir..

Indeed....  It's obvious to all that the ‘small print’ being referred to is a colloquialism for ‘terms and conditions’ on other pages....

To add to this point the ‘small print’ used to be deliberately difficult to read to allow wiggle room, oversight has removed that, however, the language used is often difficult to decipher and quite circular when referring to point 14.3 which is superseded by 16.7 under the terms identified in section 27.2b.
