Is it obligatory in Chiang Rai to show proof of Covid vaccination when entering a bar or restaurant?

The owner of a famous Chiang Rai restaurant told me Tuesday night that he received a 2 page letter from the Governor, saying alcohol allowed but all staff and customers need to be fully vaxxed, effective yesterday.

I had this experience only once recently: The Chill asked for my proof of vaccination on "Mor Phrom".

To serve alcohol, you have to be SHA approved, I think, just more intrusive control.  Same as 1st world countries, going to over regulate people out of business.
