Siam Commercial Bank moving into Crypto, why aren't you?

There can be blockchain without it being cryptocurrency. So, yes, they are two different things. A car motor and a steering wheel are different things, even if a car requires both.

A car would not exist without both. They are 2 components of the whole. They are not 2 different things, they both have to be there for Crypto to work.

In early Crypto you initially needed both but NFT changes that and the allorhythmia is being replaced by gaming or other skills. I know because I build Crypto and develop the new NFT models for people working in the metaverse.

You are dabbling in dangerous water if you don't understand why a Crypto has a value  and how that has changed since Bitcoin.

Sounds like you are just guessing as your answers are vague and often incorrect here.

And for these poor folks they wouldn't have a clue. Crypto currency trading is like the stock market with rules that exist in the cyberspace.

The rules to their value are very complex and you have to understand what effects their value. Steer well clear of them unless you have a brain that get how the Metaverse is developing and what is considered to have value there. It's a World you have to be totally inside to understand.

It's like buying shares in Excite, Google and Yahoo when they first started. All went up quickly which is what is happening with Crypto, but now one is dead, the other is pitiful, and the third dominates the World. If you understood browsers, the development of the internet and the different companies approach to that new future, you would be a rich man. If you are just guessing then you would probably be broke by now.

Yes, cryptocurrency needs blockchain/cryptography... but blockchain/cryptography can exist entirely separate from cryptocurrencies.

Your response was that crypto currencies and blockchain/cryptography aren't different things... which is obviously false.

The example, like the definition, doesn't work. It's much more like: there are currently 7000+ crypto coins, and in the next 10-20 years, 99.99% of those will crash and be eradicated, with only a few left—of which millions people will lose all or most of their money (and a lucky few will make a ton of money).

I told you jokers that the support is at 30k. Won't hold. Next stop 19k

I highly doubt it will go under $29,500. The upcoming Fed announcement has already been priced in. On Thursday our time, I can see it going back to $38,500, then the following month $60k. No one can kill the Bitcoin.

It was honest but proves my point.

I could insult you, but why?

No, it wasn't honest. The post you replied to wasn't even addressed to you. You just replied to troll and mock:

Apart from lending, charging on transactions is what banks and the stock market make money from. Any money moving anywhere they want a taste. Market volatility is what they like as it generates more  transactions. They prefer high value transactions to low value transactions and high volumes to low volumes because they make more money in fees but ten BMWs or a million household electricity bills they dont care.

They don't invest in Bitcoin. That's gambling. They see crypto transactions taking place and they want a piece of it. They have no moral position on it anymore than they would if you legally used a credit card in a casino or a brothel.

Bitcoin is a limited edition set of character strings with a very expensive to run and maintain infrastructure churning the new character strings out.  Release the character strings slowly, dip them in Blockchain, claim Utopia will be using Bitcoin as currency and you can get in on the floor. You have magic. The best money is always in the magical future not the pragmatic present.

Utopia wont be using Bitcoin. The only people using Bitcoin for serious transactions are crypto evangelists and criminals. For everyone else it's too volatile, too slow, too hard and too expensive.  Most bitcoin owners have never bought or sold anything with Bitcoin except currency. Regardless a portion of the population still seems to share the view that the Bitcoin character strings will increase in value forever just because they are limited edition.

The individual character sets are limited edition but the number of potential character sets is infinite. We laugh at people who bought into Dutch tulips or the exotic land of Poyais.

The reality is you are trading in lottery tickets that have no expiry date and no prize and need an expensive unregulated system to track and look after them.  And the number of potential new lotteries is infinite.

That model runs out of buyers or implodes at some point.

But if you still believe I have a password locked  spreadsheet with twenty one million  unique character strings in it that could potentially be used as a future currency for the Galaxy. You can get in on the ground floor.........

Maybe she should have invested into Peloton stock instead.

Bears mauled that bicycle.

It was a gift to my nephews to get them to open a wallet and keep it for a few years. Those who think a 30% drop is much in Bitcoin, know nothing about it.

It's like saying in 2011 that someone was foolish to buy it at $10 as it fell 90% to $1. Or in 2017, it was foolish to buy at $18k as it dropped to $3k.

SCB moving into crypto, but in the papers that can not be linked it clearly says

IMG-20220126-194356.jpg

Thoughts?

Btw, I have spent last 6 weeks learning a lot about different coins. Sorry, but to me Bitcoin is absolutely useless, while Ethereum has a lot of promise. In fact it is used a lot for payments. If I was a gambling man I'd bet on alt coins that run on eth network.

This is a long video (> 2 hours), and the main argument is about NFTs, but for anyone curious about crypto, I highly recommend watching it in full, as it goes over a lot of the stuff, the motivations behind the creators, the problems it will and has faced, etc.:

Too funny.

Your Bitcoin was supposed to be worth 500,000 dollars in 2020 based on "simple math". Obviously Bitcoin is not being adopted as expected. Every time a new token or $hitcoin in created and listed on exchange that's less money for Bitcoin.

Do you even know what limited supply means?

BTW, the next support is 30k. It won't hold. Next one is at 19k. That might hold.

You bought way too early. Cryptos are in bear market since November. And there is such thing as bear market, even in crypto.

Well, I just sold the tranche I bought on the 23rd Jan for a mid 6 figure profit. You were totally wrong in your assertions. Maybe next time don't speak in absolutes on a topic you have no clue about.

You sold after 1 rally to get some worthless fiat?

I thought Bitcoin is going to $500,000?
