Testing stations are overloaded most at capacity, Mainly because if the QR reports you in close contact with someone you must get tested (not rapid test).

As the Grand Orange Pumpkin says-"This is fake News.."

The QR response is to state.."You have been such and such" and gives location.

It then advises that if you are experiencing symptoms to go have a test, and if not, then to continue monitoring your general health.

The testing stations are full of fools who instantly took their masks off, danced in the streets, went to Xmas parties, spruiked "libertarianism" and now have gone screaming to the various State Gov'ts for tests.

An internet nation.Dumb as they come.

Vaccines don't stop you getting covid19, they greatly reduce how it affects you. In the UK 90% of those in hospital have been vaccinated but not had the booster, 60% are unvaccinated out of a population with 10% unvaccinated.

90% + 60%  = 150%.

You need to invent new figures.

He knows everything .. (he thinks). but only talks afterwarths, has no idea what is going on and has no knowledge of handling health care.... He could better find something suitable

My guess is that Deputy PM Anutin got the job as Minister of Public Health on 10 JULY 2019 because none of the other coalition party big shots were interested in such a low profile position.

Don;t even need to look to Sweden 0 Aust is 80-90% fully vaccinated and had over 65K cases yesterday. Past vaccines are certainly not stopping symptomatic infection. Even it's not clear that boosters are going to help that much in the long run. The death rate will be lower with Omicron, but total deaths may exceed that from the delta wave.

Or, it’s the unvaccinated who are being infected.

When a nation goes out of it's way to avoid any sort of merit based system, and appoints it's leaders based solely on cronyism, this kind of bottom of the barrel creep ends up in a position of leadership. No experience, very little talent, no wisdom, and not a clue in the world that he is disrespected, despised, and that he should just shut up and stay out of sight.

Nobody cares what he says, and little that he says means anything, or is based on science.

And, as implied by @club Omicron doesn't make you truly sick (in most fully vaccinated cases). Except that in Thailand it makes your finances sick whereas in other countries you relax at home for 7 days...as my sister and her family are right now.

He said that his continued suspension of the Test and Go for foreigners entering Thailand to the end of the month was designed to keep more virus out.

Which bit of it’s already here and spreads like wildfire doesn’t he understand?

Anutin - who is neither a scientist or a doctor, just filthy rich - said that Omicron was not as bad as Delta.

This is the best part of the article.

He's a lousy human being also.

if not a doctor nor a scientist what does he know, why does he keeps opening his mouth

Believe it or not, that is what they are saying in Australia.

it isn’t as aggressive as Delta.

deaths are minimal

and if everyone caught it we would be greatly immunised to further strains

Subscription only link. What date is the article? China should be streets ahead on developing an mRNA vaccine by now. Fosun Pharma was a very early investor in BioNTech, pre Pfizer even, and gained marketing and development rights in China. Not sure what happened, or why they went down another route.

"BioNTech received a US$135 million investment from Fosun in March 2020, in exchange for 1.58 million shares in BioNTech and the future development and marketing rights of BNT162b2 in China.[159][115]"

But their is no problem with 12 Thais gathered around a small table drinking whisky from the same shot glass or 20 Thais gathered around a small Cock fight arena . Then going home to their family and sharing the Covid with them. Now that's dirty

Thais don't spread covid. They only get infected.

Seriously though, the guy that I've been buying beers from for the past year and a half around the corner puts on a mask to serve me, but not (maskless) Thais. He's been doing it ever since my country of origin started spiking in cases. Yet he knows that I haven't left the country for nearly 2 years.

Yes hospitalization rates are the true indicator, I am in Australia and QR use is manditory everywhere, Testing stations are overloaded most at capacity, Mainly because if the QR reports you in close contact with someone you must get tested (not rapid test). To travel interstate you must get tested. And this is a country where 92% are double vaxed. Hospital rates are down, As are icu cases. Internationals coming in are not the problem for Thailand, they bring in the money and create jobs, Get the vax rate up in Thailand with real vaccines, Stop playing politics.

Nonsense again

Hospitals in NSW are much closer to capacity due to surging Covid cases than is being admitted by officials, warn doctors and nurses, with one saying the system has “never been this bad”.

Not sure that applies when most of the relevant parties are highly compromised, and have evolved out of a military coup.

It's a form of government where you bargain with the heads of the various political parties in order to comprise a majority in parliament. That's how it works.

In 2021 there were 28,000 cases in a day - he didn't want to go back to that so he urged people to follow the rules and protocols.

He is out of his mind and does not want to check data in the UK, US or Israel. US has registered a million infections yesterday with the same amount of vaccination as Thailand.

If you just had a cough, slight fever and headache due to Covid for a few days, it's considered mild and shouldn't be worried about it.

Consider yourself lucky.

Vaccinated and getting the virus supposedly gives you super immunity.

The vaccines aren't designed to stop the infection, just the severity of the symptoms, so why panic when infections go up. I don't understand the point of getting double vaxed, booster jabbed every other month, and still be <deleted>ting yourselves if you test positive. If you don't trust the vax why are you taking it?

You want to explain your view on bad David.

Its going to spread quickly, be no doubt, but the deaths are dropping rapidly and hospitalization rates are dropping off in SA and the UK now,and people are recovering in shorter time, it’s much less severe with most people  not knowing they even have it,if you want to see the databases explained watch the daily report from Dr John Campbell, he provides all the links for you as well.

Delta now displaced in SA and almost totally in the UK and rapidly heading that way in Australia and USA, but nowhere have I seen deaths going up and the amount in ICU and requiring oxygen is plummeting

The USA has one of the highest vaccination rates in the world but it’s not stopping omicron, most of their best medical experts are saying the same things as the UK,SA Australia and Thailand, it’s a very mild strain expected to peek by the end of January, then the picture will be very much clearer

So? There should be no restrictions anywhere in the world and also no need for vaccines. Just look how all the other pandemics have been and nature have handled it as it should.

Many people think like this...until they end up on a ventilator.
