I'm a little bit confused. ???? can someone be so friendly and explain me how to change the category from any kind of an NON O Visa to another.

You can apply for any type of non-immigrant extension (marriage, work, study, retirement...) if you qualify for it.

If the Covid extension option gets extended you can of course also apply for another one.

I'm on a volunteer Visa right now and would like to study in the future further like I did pre Covid with my ED Visa.

As far as I know if I would like to have an ED Visa I have to leave the country to apply for a new one. or coming back on an visa exempt or tourist visa. Ok. 

 

But could I study, at the end of my volunteer visa, and get an extension for my NON O volunteer Visa based on study ?

If so how long would be the extension? Normally a ED Visa is issued for one year with 90day reporting. I guess an extension would be only 60days? How does it work?

You could apply for a extension of stay based upon attending a school with your existing stay allowed by the non-o visa you got.

A extension for attending school can be for 90 days if attending a informal school such a language one or one year if attending a formal school such as univercity.

You need to contact some schools about what they can help you do.
