Currently on ED visa

Featured Replies

Hi,

My ED visa runs till February 13.

I want to have another ED visa (or volunteer visa) so I could stay another year in Thailand. Came Feb 2021, had a tourist visa and then a ED visa that expires soon.

My VISA service said they have to wait till the covid extensions because of the closed borders. The covid extension is now extended and I wonder if I could get a new visa now. Anybody know more about this?

I actually informed my visa service about the extension and I guess she is working it all out, but am a bit stressed now ????

You cannot apply for a new visa while in the country. That can only be done if you entered on a visa exempt or tourist visa.

You may be able to apply for an extension of stay based upon on attending a school.

Obtain a covid extension before Feb 13.

Obtain another before March 26.

Hope that some borders will be open late May.

OR ....see what you agent can do/offer.

This is what I did... had no other choice..
