does one apply for change of visa (TM86) at the Chaeng Wattanan or at the Muong Thong Thani office?

 

can on emake an appointment or is it a matter of joining the queu?

    But from another thread, someone wrote it can also be done in Chonburi....does this mean the info from there is sent up to Bangkok for approval and it could take some time?

    It has to be done at the same office where you plan on applying for a one year extensions of stay.

    All non immigrant visas applications have to approved at the division level of immigration. For Chonburi if would be done by division 3 headquarters that is in Bangkok and is responsible for the central region of the country . That is why you must have at least 15 days remaining on your permit to stay in country to apply for the visa.

    I had asked whether for someone living in Bangkok, the office is Chaeng Wattana or Muong Thong Thani.  Each province has its own office.
