Afternoon chaps

I am currently in the UK awaiting my wife and son to come and stay permanently. The issue has arisen where my sons Thai passport has expired and needs renewal. This can't be done however because they need both parents present. Is there some kind of form I need to sign to send on to my wife? I can't find what I need on the Thai embassy site in London. (Also he has a British passport)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Your wife is Thai so I assume she speaks the local language. Your question is about an official Thai procedure. Doesn't it make more sense that you're wife would ask this question at the passport office than to ask this question on this forum?

If only 1 parent can attend then your wife needs to get a Kor ror 14 from the local Ampur.  There are several reasons they can issue the form and you not being in the country would be one of them.

Then 1 parent takes the child along to the passport office with their old passport, ID card, blue housebook and the Kor ror 14 form.

My wife has just done this and renewed daughter’s passport in Phuket.  They will only issue a 5 year passport and not the new 10 year passport as she is not an adult.
