Popular Post itsari
I am in shock after having to pay 57 baht for a beer instead of 55 baht that has been the same for some years . I wish the politician luck with changing the law on brewing beer in Thailand . If successful it could create more competition and invite lower prices for a overpriced product . 3 2 4

Popular Post tonray
The little shack down the road from our moobaan sells Leo bottles for 60 baht, apparently I've been living large. 1
Dmaxdan
The ever increasing fuel prices are going to have a knock on effect on what we pay for many things. You can blame Putin for that... And anyway, is 57 baht really that expensive? Think about it, for that modest amount of money your beer has been brewed, bottled, packaged and transported through out the country. Not forgetting lining the tax man's pockets. 2
Popular Post alien365
Tell me about it. I just went to lotus and a box of tiger is now ฿652! It uses to be ฿620 and a few months ago 610. If it keeps going up I'm going to cut out beer altogether and just drink whisky. Thanks government for pushing me towards the harder stuff. 3

I have always supported the local shop to buy beer. I have no doubt I will continue to do that. I also return the bottles . ChrisKC
Well, I have sympathy for the OP: after all, B2 is B2 and it all adds up (he said with just a hint of sarcasm) but... For the last year I have been buying Leo Strong Brew, for me at least, better than Chang and Leo tama dar! Big C - B52 for the large bottle - I bought three, only two hours ago. CHEERS!!

They cover themselves on the bottle - lager beer - in my opinion a contradiction in terms - don't they know it is LAGER, even though most Posters and I think, just about all Thais, call it "beer". But an earlier comment of mine might easily have contained within it that there is a discernible hint of beer in the Leo Strong Brew which is why I actually like it!
swm59nj
This has nothing to do with the OP personally. Just some of the posts I read in general. Gee I didnt think the income of some expats was that low. Where a very small increase in a price of a product can effect them . I guess Im fortunate not to be in that position with my retirement income. Edited March 4, 2022 by swm59nj

So you appear to be buying from a local shop, I assume a "Mom&Pop", in which case as they buy very small amounts at a time their delivery driver's fuel costs have gone up. The supermarkets may absorb it but not the small local units. 1
