The Cabinet Committee, chaired by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O’Cha, has approved the Bangkok governor and Pattaya Mayor elections today, March 8th, before the exact date could be finalized and announced by the Election Commission in a further step.

The approval followed the proposal of the Ministry of Interior at the meeting this morning. However, the Cabinet only held the authority of the election approval, not the determination of the election date.

There's only ONE candidate - no one dares face up to the 'strong-arm' present mayor.

for him to approve that without an argument it means they must be from his party cronies and opposition wouldn't be allowed
