The news seems to be taking over our lives!

Having almost become bored reading about the Covid pandemic for the past two years, now many of us are glued to the TV watching the horror of a potential World War III unfolding.

We never envisaged that any other news could possibly take Covid 19 off the front pages, however, the courage of Ukraine, it is President, and its people has grabbed the global news.

Naturally Fake News is rife, however, most of us can get the overall picture of what the Russians are getting away with.

With social media everywhere, it is even becoming harder for Putin and his cronies to hide the real truth from most Russian citizens.

Could the news rather than sanctions eventually bring his downfall.

I am sure when news gets out that Russian troops are firing at public hospitals in Ukraine that people will start to say enough is enough.

During World War II it is a fact that Churchill manipulated the media to his advantage.

But in those days, they just had newspapers and newsreels which were often providing news that was several days old.

These days we get the news of attacks sometimes even before the Government ministers and Generals know what is happening.

It is sad that dictators want to rule the world but now they must deal with public opinion rather than just military battles.
