I think good to share you my experience at Phuket Immigration today regarding above title.

 

I got it successfully but I notice a few points getting more stricter because its management has changed recently. 

 

1.  They refuse to accept my bank statement & letter stamped the date - one day before I go there. All the dates must be on the SAME day I entered the immigration office.  Last year I was allowed within 7 days but not now. ????  

 

Also even the bank book must show the right date of the last transaction. In the shortest word, I am told to add the deposit of my 100 baht . (i.e. 400,100B) showing the right date on my bank book.  IO must check against "the tricky transfer" - that is something I do not understand. 

 

2. I must bring my Thai daughter to be present at there for photo reason. Last year, no need to that but just a photo of myself. ????

 

3. Kroo 6 form with red stamp is accepted in subject to the conditions at the back of this page. (or a letter from Court. I don't have)

 

Apart from that,  the rest are normal & usual as before.

I have been doing the non O with the 400k for 5 years and every year, I must either deposit or withdraw 100 baht on the same day I go to immigration so that they can see that the required funds, i.e. greater than 400k are still in my account.

 

I am pretty sure this is a standard requirement, however every office has it's own rules, which of course have changed, basically every year I have done mine, the latest being that my extension approval wasn't back the day I went there to have my passport stamped, so I was told to go home and they would ring me when the approval comes through, so I took the hour 30 drive home and as soon as I got home, the mobile rang, Sir, your approval is here, you come back, tomorrow I said, not leave any longer they said, I almost &^^%(%$F#$%^.....

 

Next year I will change to the retirement extensive, less hassle, same day approval, and it's probably what they want as they have to work on the marriage extension because others elsewhere check the docs.

There is nothing standard about immigration process in Phuket. I am convinced they are there to scam and force people to try and use outside agents, so that they get paid.

I would assume that would be for most IO's, why, because they can get away with it, part of the culture all the way to the top.
