Sleepy pickup truck driver seriously injured after crashing into a trailer truck on Sri Racha highway

Sri Racha – A pickup truck driver who allegedly fell asleep at the wheel was seriously injured after crashing into a trailer truck in Sri Racha yesterday (March 21st).

 

The Highway Police was notified of the accident after midnight on the Motorway in the Bang Phra sub-district.

 

The first response teams arrived at the scene to find the male driver aged around 40 who was unconscious stuck inside his damaged pickup truck.

"police believe that the pickup truck driver was diving at high speed, fell asleep and crashed into the slower-moving vehicle."

 

How about  "was diving at high speed, AND WAS LOOKING AT HIS PHONE"

 

Again, it's about saving face and they prefer to use the "sleep" excuse when being on the phone looks much worse.......too many of these kinds of accidents these days that can easily be this.

Any excuse is better than none they think so  that's what they use .
