Panida Sirayootyotin and her lawyer Decha Kittiwitthayanan arrived at the parliament to withdraw her previous request for Dr Khunying Porntip of the senate committee on human rights, liberty and consumer protection to take part in the investigation. Dr Khunying Porntip is a former director-general of the Central Institute of Forensic Science. What exactly does this mean? It makes no sense. Keep in mind this "mother" received 30 million baht in compensation from the boat owner. Yes, she does have a proven forensic pathology track record but well done on pointing out just one thing, out of her area of expertise, that she (and many others at the time) erred on. Who's disputing that? I'm not, but, regardless, that misjudgement, also made by many other people (she wasn't the only one), doesn't alter her experience and reputation as a forensic pathologist.
