The Thonburi court agreed with prosecutors about the seriousness of a rape case.

Thailand's prosecutors had called for a tough sentence for Montree Yaikrathoke, the head of a condo security detail in Bang Khae.

He raped a female condo owner. A crime he had also committed earlier within the last five years.

How does a person with a rape conviction previously get a security licence?

One hopes he is never able to secure a licence again

Sentence halved due to guilty plea, it should have been doubled due to his prior conviction

and his previous rape was in January of this year! ***king amazing

Are they going to Castrate him before he gets out of Prison.

That'll stop him .

The science around supporting chemical castration, is very weak, as rape is generally less about the sexual act and more about exerting power over a victim. Castration does little to control anger etc unfortunately.

It reduces the testosterone, yes, but not necessarily the anger levels and need to have power over another person.

I bet he will be pardoned after 1 year and commit the same crime again. Criminals who had repeat offense would have no remorse.

He is of course already a repeat offender if I read the OP correctly. Five years for this double crime is too lenient.
