INN reported that Thailand's biggest proponent of legalizing marijuana - health minister and DPM Anutin Charnvirakul - opened a symposium in Khon Kaen.

This followed one earlier in Bung Kan.

The minister is promoting medical grade ganja and hemp products as a source of income for Thais.

On Friday, April Fool's Day, one Thai media published a spoof about the minister's relationship with weed.

INN did not mention this.

"The minister is promoting medical grade ganja and hemp products as a source of income for Thais."

I believe that he and his group own most of the Cannabis farms already in production. So yes, income for Thai's.

Whilst just south of Khon Kaen in Mukhdahan:- (quote):-

Promoting more confusion.

I wonder who is meant to benefit?  I don't see it being average Thai citizens.  He's like a carny at his own road show.  Lots of fancy talk and illusion to convince the marks to allow his show to prosper, and maybe the commoners can have a tiny sliver of the action too - promises promises - but probably not.

This has been an exercise in self-service for himself and his friends.  The common folk needed to support the limited legalization without actually being able to participate in the benefits.
And here we are yet again - the rich get richer and the poor get nuthin' - but empty promises, platitudes, and jail should they attempt to participate themselves without the consent of the noble-ones.

It would be humorous if it wasn't so pathetic.

Looks like he had a wardrobe malfunction or just plain forgot where he left his trousers in the haze ????
