connda Posted April 2, 2022 Share Posted April 2, 2022 (edited) I wonder who is meant to benefit? I don't see it being average Thai citizens. He's like a carny at his own road show. Lots of fancy talk and illusion to convince the marks to allow his show to prosper, and maybe the commoners can have a tiny sliver of the action too - promises promises - but probably not. This has been an exercise in self-service for himself and his friends. The common folk needed to support the limited legalization without actually being able to participate in the benefits. And here we are yet again - the rich get richer and the poor get nuthin' - but empty promises, platitudes, and jail should they attempt to participate themselves without the consent of the noble-ones.
