Popular Post Mansell
Personally the cost of living is a big attraction for me…..and the beautiful women…..and Thai women are the funniest ladies I’ve ever met, my wife many times has me laughing as soon as I wake up….I always wanted to live in the tropics, and now I do. I don’t understand the poor air quality around Pattaya. Supposedly the other day it was worse than BKK. There isn’t that much traffic with no tourists, though there are Thais here for Songkran. There must be some kind of inversion layer creating the problem. But the sea is right here and should help. As for costs here, I took my Suzuki into the dealer for the center brake light slipping down. I would have done it myself, but getting in and up through the top of the trunk was a nightmare. It took them 75 minutes and the charge was 500 baht…when was the last time you went to a dealer in America and was charged 16 dollars for anything? Some of the hospitals in LA charge more for parking. The weather is great, so there are some hot days, last week in Los Angeles the temp was 100 F. Here I can play tennis a few times a week, ride the bicycle a few times a week, play badminton and table tennis with the family at home. This is perfect for me. As SpiderMike says above. The most beautiful women come walking by, fantastic legs and butts, great bodies, and you can have your pick of many types of faces, whether you want Chinese features, Thai white or brown, looking like a child or a full blooded woman, and these days they can have black hair or blonde and everything in between. We are spoiled guys. I never thought at my age 78 but look around sixty, I would have a wife of 45. And I have a good one who keeps me young every day. My wife offers me money, instead of my previous Thai wife who only wanted my money. So guys, there some good ones out there. Just have to be patient, and lucky. It helps if your a good guy…..like attracts like. 2

I've never had an STD in Thailand, basically because I always used condoms. There are only two women I have had unprotected sex with here, and that was after getting to know them very well in protected mode. IIRC, a couple of your mates have died from HIV. Your choice if you want to dice with death.

Wasn't that excellent when there last year, Feb, and AQI in 70s, and noticeable if looking up to or down from higher elevation. Actually kind of surprised & disappointed. But ... Beaches were lovely & deserted, and best ever visit over 20 years going. No complaints here. Now back to tourist riddled ... oh well. Await the next pandemic and may visit again.

I used to walk to the top of Monkey Hill in Phuket Town and look down over the town - I don't recall seeing much of a haze. The biggest problem here is a d*mn bird called the "Asian koel". It's a cuckoo and wakes me up at about 6:30 as the sun rises. The one I have is very clever - as soon as I go outside with my air pistol he shuts up. He clearly remembers the close calls he's had with me in the past. ????

But does seem to wake before the sun most days, and yea, they're a bit noisy. Edited April 15, 2022 by KhunLA
