Hundreds of durians scattered after sleepy pickup truck driver overturns in Ban Bueng

Chonburi – Hundreds of durians worth more than 500,000 baht scattered all over a roadside after a pickup truck overturned in the Ban Bueng district yesterday morning (April 25th).

 

Chonburi police were notified of the accident on Number 344 Road in Ban Bueng.

 

They arrived at the scene to find an overturned brand new pickup truck on the side of the road. No injuries, however, were reported. Hundreds of durians were found scattered nearby.

Must be a deserted area, anywhere near civilization and the truck would be empty by the time the old bill arrived.

Most probably overloaded as usual. I sometimes see pickups here, if they got a gust of wind from the side, over they would go.

A one ton truck, piled high with 3.5 tons, seen all the time whether Durian, logs, etc I'm surprised its not a daily occurrence, there seems to be no law on overloading small trucks.

I arrived at the scene near Phan just after an overloaded pickup had overturned with a load of pigs.

Funniest thing I've seen for a long time, locals trying to catch pigs who did not want to be there.
