COVID-19 - May 10: Thailand reports 6,230 new coronavirus cases, 11,132 recoveries, 53 deaths

Thailand on Tuesday (May 10) reported 6,230 new COVID-19 cases, 11,132 recoveries and 53 additional deaths over the past 24 hours. 

 

Tuesday’s cases bring the total number of COVID-19 infections in Thailand to 4,337,568 with 29,196 deaths.

 

The news comes as the Public Health Ministry’s Emergency Operations Centre for COVID-19 has lowered the national COVID-19 alert level from 4 to 3, as the daily infection rate has been falling.

 

Level 4 barred people from entering high-risk areas, which could include a variety of places, while only selected entertainment venues are closed in Level 3.**

In  a few weeks there are only recoveries, no new cases anymore..... The Government happy, but will not lift the restriction because new variants are discovered.... Keep the people under control and try to attrack as less tourists as possible, They only come here to destroy the country and cause unrest...although we pretent they are welcome

Just complete insanity. Please tell me they are not going for zero before opening everything. Lowered from lvl 4 to lvl 3. What a joke. Lvls should no longer exist and the whole lot should be opened. State of Emergency. Why? Not to do with Omicron that's for sure.

100% if they want zero COVID they can get the figures to show that. You really believe there are only 6000k new infections. If they done proper community surveillance like UK they would know the true number. Same UK reporting only 7000k odd but ONS survey shows several million.

6000k = 6,000,000.

7000k = 7,000,000.
