I wonder if he will be asked to return all the kick-backs from the Red Bull family he received ?

Of course, minus all living expenses.

At this point this long-running fiasco is a complete JOKE. A constant reminder of the flawed thai legal system, and the difference in justice for wealthy and the poor.

Just bite the bullet and drop all charges.

Or, try and convict/acquit in absentia (no problems doing this for a Shinawatra and a questionable charge). If convicted and once he returns, he must serve at least six months (assuming this is a reasonable term for the convicted crime), donate 20 million baht to a real charity and perform hundreds of hours of public service.

Such is the level of apathy among Thais, I doubt that many people truly care if the heir is brought to justice.

What do you suggest the 'people' do about the injustice? And I doubt very much that there is indifference. Thais are sick to death of the corruption and one rule for the rich and another for them, but that is the way things are in many countries. Especially Asia and probably more so in Africa.

Disgraceful legal system and laughing stock to the world that caters to the rich. They could have had the little Red Bull sh!t behind bars years ago and it’s BS they don’t know where he is. This is just to save some semblance of face without punishing the true guilty party. What a clown show.

Damn - now they will likely have to start the whole investigation over again. The statute of limitations for his reckless driving causing death will expire on Sept 3, 2027.

Guess the new proceedings will take until about Sept 4 2027 to complete.

Smoke screens and mirrors.  This is probably self initiated. A decade of brown envelopes stashed away and now can just walk away, enjoy his plunder, and let some other unfortunate pick up the pieces.

If all the charges in the Red Bull case have now expired., then it's just the perfect time to sack him. Job done already. Mission accomplished according to original plan.  Safe to come home yet?   P.S. The prosecutor possibly doesn't need a salary now anyway.

Chairman of the Commission Patchara Yutithamdamrong said that they ruled that Nate did not exercise caution in considering the case and did not attach importance to all the files related to it, in a way which has caused serious damage to the state.

Good timing, must be an election coming up, some points appearing on the board perhaps ????

Wonder why he was said to be negligent in his attendance to standards of duty ? .... Mates looking after their mates maybe huh ? Same all over the world. The 'haves' grouping together at the expense of the people at large. And, politicians and social commentators are aghast when they are confronted by the proletariat for such devious sectarian behaviours.
