Visa exempt extension question

Featured Replies

Just a quick one. When I extend my visa exempt by 30 days, will they give me an under consideration or is it immediate?

Also my visa expires on Sunday may 12. I can go on Monday may 13 right?

Cheers

The 30 day extension is done on the day you apply for it. No underconsideration period for it.

I assume you meant June 12th since it is now May 26th.

You can do your extension before the 12th. You lose no days by doing it early.

You could do it on the 13th and not be fined for a overstay. After that you would be fined 500 baht for everyday you are late.

Yes June 12, sorry:).

Thanks very much again Joe

There is no under consideration period for the 30-day extension. However, depending on the immigration office, it is possible for you to be unlucky and asked to return to collect your stamped passport the following day. Be aware of this if it may create a problem (such as an intention to go somewhere else the next day).
